I feel alone…

Back awhile ago, i used to post (not sure what to call wall posts) and tweets and the only person to reply them was my friend (and my current ex-gf)…

Anyways, we went out shortly after awhile and i lent her an iPhone 3GS since her other 2 phones weren’t working properly and so she could send me messages (for free!)

Anyways, we broke up and today, i got my iPhone back and i feel lonelier than i’ve ever been…

I guess it’s losing another friend… I don’t like losing my friends…

I heard from a sermon that relationships destroy friendships… Maybe that’s true…

Maybe i should stay single? To preserve all the few friendships i have left?

"I though about a lot of things, like…where I was, what I’d got myself into. I started to feel…light-headed, and then, sleepy. … I think I had a dream – a dream of being alone. I wanted someone – anyone – beside me, so I wouldn’t have to feel alone anymore."

—Tidus’s retrospective

What should i do now?

I’m so confused…

Not Alone – Linkin Park

Sorry for not posting…

Hi bloggy,

Sorry for not posting anything recently…
It’s not that i don’t like posting…
It’s just that life has been quite boring…
And i have nothing to post…

But if i do find something to blog about, i’ll do it right away!
I’ll try my best to stop procrastinating…

Yours sincerely,
Joey Lau

Updated Old Post

I was showing my friend where Fox News thinks Egypt was:
http://www.joeylau.me/2011/01/31/egypt/

But when i went to pull up where CNN thinks Queensland is, i found the image was taken down (and i didn’t cache it…)

So i was searching the internet for the image and found a 2nd image.

Anyways, i uploaded the new post at: http://www.joeylau.me/2012/03/04/cnn-coverage-of-cyclone-yasi-places-queensland-in-tasmania/

So, The Daily Mail also thinks Australia has a new state, since when is Capricornia a state?

Anyways, read the other post for the full details Open-mouthed smile

CNN coverage of Cyclone Yasi places Queensland in Tasmania

CNN’s graphic depicting Queensland in Tasmania as it described the threat of Cyclone Yasi has gone viral.

The Daily Mail depicted Capricornia as a new state north of Queensland in its coverage of Cyclone Yasi.

US media giant CNN’s reporting of Cyclone Yasi blew Queensland off the map, when it depicted the weather-ravaged state as being in Tasmania.

The international news breaker was roundly mocked around the world, when its map of Australia on a news bulletin pointed to Queensland being several thousand kilometres south in a bulletin last week.

While CNN appears to have quickly removed the offending graphic from its website, bemused Australian media watchers and others quickly sent the image viral.

It appears CNN researchers googled Queenstown, which  is on Tasmania’s west coast, instead of Queensland, when researching the report.

Today the image continues to be sent to inboxes and posted onTwitter and Facebook with tongue-in-cheek comments to match.

Among the finger-pointing at the media giant’s redrawing of Australia’s map include: “Beautiful one day …” and “Whoah. Yasi was powerful!”

Britain’s Daily Mail also redrew Australia’s State boundaries last week in its flood coverage, splitting Queensland in half and adding a seventh state, Capricornia.

That graphic was also removed, but not before scores of readers had pointed it out to the news site.

Adding CDN to all sites

Starting last week, we’ve been slowly adding and testing a CDN to allow you to load the site from the nearest server (and therefore saving us bandwidth Open-mouthed smile)

During the change, some of your sites may have loading problems or missing files or any weird other errors.
Don’t worry about it, we just need to sync all the files between the servers.

But if the problems do last more than 24 hours, feel free to contact me and i’ll look into it.

Thanks!
